M/s.Commondoor Software Private Limited, a company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 and having its registered office at Flat No# 401, S R Builders, Arun Apartments, Red Hills, Hyderabad 500004, Telangana, India(hereinafter referred to as “Company”,“ We”, “Us” or “Our”) is a pioneering, technology-powered solution provider with helps in connecting the Owners with the potential tenants. Commondoor can be accessed by logging into the website http://commondoor.com (hereinafter, referred to as “Platform”).

The Company through its Platform enables connecting the owners, landlords and the legal representatives of owners holding a title to the property which isintended to be rented out by them (hereinafter, referred to as “Owners”) to potential tenants (here in after referred to as “Users”). The Owners and the Users shall collectively be referred to as “You/Your”.        

The motive is to facilitate the renting out of accommodations between credible Owners and Users, and thereafter to pass the information to their vendors for background checks of Users along with other incidental services required to prove the bonafide identity of the parties to the Agreement (hereinafter referred to as “Services”).The Company shall respect your privacy and value the trust that you place in Us, andthe privacy of user’s information through its Platform.

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”)describes in brief the manner in which your data is collected, used and shared by the Platform. You are advised to read the Policy carefully to learn about our information gatheringand dissemination practices. By streaming or accessing the Platform, You agree to the collection and its use of your data byUs, in the manner provided in this Policy along with the Terms of Use placed in our Platform.


The information received by Us is collected by the Company includes:

(i)                The requisite information provided by theUsers for creating an Account on the Platform and availing the Services; and
(ii)              The information that it tracked while theUsers navigate through the web pages. 

A.    Collection of Personally Identifiable Information and otheInfrmation 

1.      When You use the services of our Platform, We collect and store your personal information which is provided by You from time to time includes the following data:              
i.           Your name;           
ii.           Your age;         
iii.           Your gender;          
iv.           Your email address;            
v.           Your address;          
vi.           Your telephone/mobile number;        
vii.           Photos and location of the Property which is intended. 

2.      Our primary goal is to provide You a safe, efficient, smooth and customized experience. More importantly, while doing so We collect personal information from you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose. 

3.       You shall ensure that the personal information provided by you is complete, accurate, updated and not misleading. You agree to indemnify the Company and each of its respective officers, directors, employees and save and hold them harmless, from any and all liabilities, obligations, damages, penalties, claims, actions, judgments, fees, costs and expenses incurred in connection with or resulting from your breach of this Policy or your incorrect submission of personal information for creating the account.

However, the Personal Information that you share may be used by Us for background checks and verification, research and analysis and other incidental business-related purposes, subject to not directly disclosing any of your Personal Information.

i.           Provide to You services as requested by you;                 
ii.           Background verification of the Users by a third-party service provider appointed by Us;               
iii.           To send notifications to You about attractive offers based on your preferences;                
iv.           to send you information about our new initiatives or other relevant information that We think You might find useful or interesting;                  
v.           to get in touch with You when necessary. 

We use information internally to:                      
i.           direct our efforts for service improvement;                    
ii.           for internal training, research, analysis and other incidental business-related purposes, subject to not directly disclosing any of Your personal information.

7.      We may share personal information with Our other corporate entities and affiliates. These entities and affiliates may use Your information for the provision of services and your background checks and verification as a result of such sharing unless you explicitly opt-out.

We do not disclose Your personal information to third parties for marketing and advertising purposes without Your explicit consent. Such third parties do not have any right to use the personal information. We take reasonable steps to ensure that these third parties are obligated to protect the personal information in the same manner as contemplated herein. 

9.      We may, however, disclose Your personal information under the following circumstances:                    

i.     To provide the Services as mentioned in Clause 2 hereinabove;                  
ii.     To respond to court orders, or legal processes, or to establish or exercise Our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or                
iii.     If we believe that it is necessary to share the information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. 

10.   In the due course of time, we might use Your personal information for any new and unanticipated reason not expressly mentioned in this Policy. We will obtain your consent in such cases as may be required by law. 

D.     Information from Other Sources

15.   It is possible that information may be collected using Our demographic sources. There is a usage of Google Analytics, to help Us in the detailed display understanding, to help us understand the User’s preferences and interests.   

E.     Security procedures in place to protect information from loss, misuse or alteration

16.   To protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under Our control, and to comply with Rule 8 of IT Rules,2011 (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information), We have in place the appropriate physical, electronic, technical, operational and managerial procedures.  

17.   Our Website has stringent security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Whenever You change or access your account information, We offer the use of a secure server. Once your information is in our possession, We adhere to strict security guidelines, protecting it against any unauthorized access.

H.    Your Consent and Updates to Policy:  

19.   By using the Website and/ or by providing Your information, You specifically consent to the collection and use of the information You disclose on the Website in accordance with this Policy, including but not limited to Your explicit consent for sharing your information as per this Policy. You have the right to withdraw the consent by intimating the same to us at support@commondoor.com. 

20.  We reserve the right to update, change or modify this Policy from time to time and at such time Your consent shall again be taken and by providing such consent to the revised Policy, You shall be deemed to have provided your consent to Our processing of Your personal information for the purposes given therein. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute Your specific and explicit consent and acceptance of those changes.

21.  Once you have de-registered yourself from the Platform, We will remove Your personal information from the Platform, but We may retain your personal information in our networks internally, for the purpose authorized under this Policy unless prohibited bylaw.

27.  I understand that I also have an option (while availing the services of Company, Website or otherwise) to withdraw my consent given earlier to Company and understand and accept that such withdrawal of the consent shall be sent in writing and in such case, Company shall have the option not to provide the services for which the information was sought at its discretion.

J.       Disclaimer:

29.   The Platform is an application of the Company which aims at connecting prospective tenants with Owners. Henceforth, We as facilitators cannot be a party in all the aspects of the contract between the respective parties to the transactions. 

30.   The various offers and discounts and other information which isdisplayed on the website are provided by the various Owners; in case of anymisleading information or incorrect information published, We are not to beheld liable. K.
